What Mercatura is, and what it is not yet
Mercatura is a South African B2B ordering platform for industrial suppliers: steel, timber, hardware, electrical, plumbing, fasteners, welding, roofing, masonry and related trades. Each supplier gets a branded online store that takes orders and quotes. Buyers browse and order across suppliers in one marketplace.
Where we are
We are testing demand before we build the full product. This site shows how the marketplace will work. The catalogue is example data: the suppliers, products and prices are illustrative and the companies listed do not exist. Checkout is not live. What is real is the offer to suppliers: we are taking on a small group of founding partners, starting in the Western Cape, and building their stores with them.
Who runs it
Mercatura is managed by RunOS, a South African infrastructure company. RunOS hosts and operates the platform. For anything about this site, a demo, or your data, write to [email protected].
What happens when you contact us
A person reads every demo request and every notify-me email. We reply within two working days. We do not sell or share your details, and we only send product updates if you tick the box. The full privacy notice explains what we store and your rights under POPIA.
