1. Who we are
Mercatura is managed by RunOS. For any question about this notice or your data, write to [email protected].
2. What we collect
When you submit the supplier demo form we collect your name, work email, company name, phone number and any message you write. When you use "notify me" on the cart we collect your email, optional name, and the contents of your basket at that time. We also collect aggregate, cookieless analytics: which pages are visited and which buttons are used, with no data that identifies you as a person.
3. Why we collect it
To respond to your demo request or notify-me signup, and, only if you tick the box, to send you occasional product updates. Analytics data is used to see which parts of the site people use, so we know whether to build the product.
4. Legal basis
Consent: you give us your details by submitting a form. Legitimate interest: replying to a request you made is not direct marketing under POPIA and does not need a separate consent.
5. Who sees it
Form submissions are emailed to the Mercatura team and are not sold or shared with any other party. Email delivery and hosting run on RunOS infrastructure in South Africa.
6. How long we keep it
We keep form submissions for 12 months after our last contact with you, then delete them.
7. Your rights
Under POPIA you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
8. Cookies and analytics
This site uses cookieless analytics: no tracking cookie is placed on your device and no banner is needed. See section 2 for what is collected.
9. Security
Form submissions travel over HTTPS and are protected against spam and abuse before they reach us.
10. Changes
We may update this notice as the product changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
